Awww, cute! And sexy, and has a character with emotional constipation, my fave! Great fic, I really enjoyed it. Honestly Shep/Nihlus/Saren is a OT3, and you wrote them really well here. All the kudos to you!

this is the cutest and by far one of the best representations of a polyamorous relationship and I love how Nihlus is all humorous and bubbly and Saren calculating and reserved and Shepard is exactly in between them and they complete each other and are all equal in their relationship and it's obvious they have to work on it but all of them are trying so hard and it's beauTIFUL I LOVE IT

So like I was saying a renegade Shepard I think is why I didn't sense any closeness between Saren and Shepard.

The fact that the two are always toe to toe makes it impossible for them to move beyond just a sexual relationship.

The two are closed off with one another to the point that they don't know each other the way they know Nihlus, and therefore they always tend to take offense when the other speaks, misinterpreting the meaning of the actual a words and finding insult when no insult was meant.

And I think the issue lies with Shepard. I understand her need to be able to stand up to Saren and not let him cower her, but I think she is going about it the wrong way. She feels the need to prove herself to the badass Turian, but a lot of times that comes across as her being just plain disrespectful.

Also the fact that she can't be bothered to read up on turians and their culture (ex how she doesn't know that dominance mean two different things for turians and humans) made me wonder how she even became a spectre even a lot of spectre duties involve research and recon.

The fact that she had Nihlus as a mentor makes again wonder why Shepard never did research on Turian culture.

I'm not saying you should have made Shepard a paragon but rather a mixture of renegade and paragon. I have read your other renegade Shepard stories and honestly in a lot of them
I find her to go about being quite a bit disrespectful to Saren up to the point that I tend to dislike her. And it all chalks up to her having to apologize because she didn't know about turian culture. She is always either a spectre or spectre in training, she is supposed to be the best of the best. But the fact that she can't be bothered to do an extranet search on turians, their culture, what they find respectful disrespectful makes me think that she shouldn't even be a spectre.

Spectres have a duty to the whole galaxy, rather than just humans, so again I don't understand her ignorance nor towards Turian culture.

But that is just my opinion and my outlook on your story.

It was good story however I just can't get myself to love your Shepard or to believe that she actually holds feelings for affection that goes beyond good sex for Nihlus and Saren.

I would have hoped that you would develop the relationship Shepard has with both Nihlus and Saren in a sequel, but it looks as though you have stopped writing.

One of my new favorite stories. I'm am all about polyamory relationships. However one thing that didn't sit quite right with me is the fact that it doesn't seem to be equal, in the sense that Nihlus and Saren's relationship with each other seems to go deeper than either of their relationships with Shepard.

Saren seems to be more important to Nihlus to the point that Nihlus is deeply hurt by his reaction that he distanced himself from Shepard.

And Saren seems to see Shepard as something he must except because Nihlus likes her, rather than any affection for Shepard's character.

And I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that you write a renegade Shepard, who seems always ready to go toe to toe with Saren over any little thing.

Just WOW! This story is quite amazing! The way you've managed to write this is incredible. Full of sweet and really hot moments, mixed with character's heavy personal implications...love it! Great work!

I loved how you wrote Saren's character here. The stories I've read that has him in it, make him the typical absolute humanhater, ruthless, dominating, etc. This was a nice change! Very nice change.
Thank you for turning him into a *person*, instead of a distant predatory being.

Very beautiful story. The only issue I have (this is NO critique!) is that Shep seems to be a bit of a ... fifth weel, as if she were only ... optional in this relationship, not as important, neither to Saren, nor to Nihlus. Even if Saren tells her that they are even. That makes me sad :(

I know it's been a while since you wrote this. But I just have to really (congratulate isn't the right word here, but it's late and I'm tired, so there) you. I was really curios how you would pull off Saren in this story. But you went around the natural agressive dominance thing he often gets in fics and dang did you do it beautifully when you gave a whole new depth to him. I really felt with him the whole step of the way. Him and Nihlus and Shepard. Great work. I was thrown up and down the emotional roller-coaster with them and at the point were Saren pulled away from them I almost stopped reading since it hurt so much. Splendid. Spent the entire day reading this. 3

Saren isn't my favorite person, but I like Nihlus, and I like Shepard, so I gave this a try. It was pretty good. I found myself enjoying it. Nice work.

This story was recommended to me when I was looking for a fic with a Saren romance. I have always been against the fics that pair Saren and Nihlus, and I'm not sure why, probably cuz I always saw them as brothers, instead of lovers. This story was amazing. I loved it, I couldn't stop reading. I will never look at Saren and Nihlus the same now. (: Thank you for this. Fantastic job.
