I get all the feels from this line because he thought he’d deleted this moment of brotherly love but his subconscious clearly didn’t want it deleted. So clearly it was special and important to some part of him, at least. And how I love the scene of Sherlock being shot and John and Lestrade and Sally trying to keep him awake until help comes. Especially that line “I loathe skiing,” showing how Sherlock’s blending the two situations through the cold. Lovely story! Thank you for sharing it with us! |

| Not the Doctor chapter 1 . 7/19/2012 I've come back to this story again. I absolutely love it. It's very Sherlock-toned and is actually quite realistic :D I really liked the childhood flashback. It was not too long and not too short, just right so that the reader can focus on present-day. p.s. Have to say "lukewarm" made me laugh a bit too much, though. Hahaha |
| Hekateras chapter 1 . 2/1/2012 I really enjoyed this. The stream-of-consciousness narrative was very effective - I enjoyed his memories of skiing, it seems like something he'd do - and, let's face it, this has pretty much everything I could want in a Sherlock whumpage fic. Of which there is far too little of, by the way. If you ever feel like writing more stories with the general outline of "Sherlock gets in trouble and it's up to John and the Yarders to rescue him"... well, do it. :) |
