Reviews for Assimilation
kurotenshi-08 chapter 5 . 8/26/2015
I wonder how the others would react to meeting this Quistis
sheepsong chapter 3 . 1/4/2015
Raubahn was always my favourite NPC (*'-')b

It's nice to see him again
Arisa K chapter 5 . 10/20/2012
I have no words. This was perfect.
Maloire chapter 5 . 11/4/2011
Wow, it's like a chronic addiction. To devour a magic that can consume, pretty scary.

A great and enjoyable idea (at least for the reader) :D
Maloire chapter 4 . 11/4/2011
Oooh I like the ending for this section; the competing urges of our blue mage amongst the horror in the depths of the city. So cool.
Maloire chapter 3 . 11/4/2011
An intriguing entrance to new characters. Apolysis is my favourite so far. The reading lady reminds me of the oracle scene in The Matrix XD
Maloire chapter 2 . 11/4/2011
:) I have no idea where this adventure will take us, how exciting! Love the variety of descriptive words.
Maloire chapter 1 . 11/2/2011
:) good to see a new fic up! I always enjoy your Quistis narrations; the way you really get into her mind. Curious to see where this leads :D
P.O.KILLER chapter 1 . 10/31/2011
This is pretty remarkable and by "pretty" I really mean absolutely. I can't wait to read more. I just wanted to comment on some of the dynamics you have going. I don't know if its because I just finished watching both series of Full Metal Alchemist, but the relationship you portray between Quistis and Xu remind me alot of the relationship between Hawkeye and Roy. Just the simple routine and understanding they share. Very smooth and believable. I also really liked Quistis' internal workings. She does her thing, but her issues run with her like a train in a dark tunnel. Anyway SUPERB! this will most likely end up in my faves but as a formality, I'll read the rest of it before adding.

Dead Pollen (on to the next chapter)
Atman chapter 5 . 10/31/2011
This may come across as more negative than I intend, but I hope not, as it goes without saying that you know your way around words and the clever look at blue mages was a new wrinkle in Quistis' mythos. Plus I even learned a new word, a rarity.

However (and I only say this because I've been guilty of it in the past and probably will be in the future), sometimes a five pound word is weightier than a ten pound word, especially if they are not as well suited to the context (i.e. I would not describe a color as "quantifiable"). The most impressive words don't always relate a thought or feeling in the most impressive ways. I learned this the hard way. I might have felt like I was in Quistis' head, but I wanted out. It was too stuffy and dry. I generally feel like a kindred spirit with respect to her, but I found it hard to summon any empathy here.

I just discovered your work and I can see you have some unique and impressive insights. Can't wait to see more. I apologize for taking up so much space and for maybe sounding like a jerk, but I truly enjoyed what you offered and wanted to provide my take.
irishais chapter 5 . 10/31/2011
Magnificent. The turns of phrase, the fleeting references to things past and yet to come; it's all so beautifully executed I'm not entirely sure what more there is to say about it.
horsecrazy2 chapter 5 . 10/30/2011
To be honest, I am not entirely sure what to say about this, and by that I mean this has left me speechless. And that is quite the accomplishment. Your writing style is absolutely, ridiculously beautiful. Quistis' voice in this is so powerful I feel like I am curled up in her head. I honestly wish I could give a more specific review, but I am not sure I have enough adjectives to adequately describe just how good I think this is. Amazing. Thanks for sharing it.
