Author has written 11 stories for Final Fantasy VIII, and A song of Ice and Fire. I graduated with a dual bachellor's degree in Economics and Latin. With that said, I'm almost annoyingly detail oriented and I am well versed in the Latin language. I notice many tend to use it in stories and if anyone wants help getting everything right when using it (or with other aspects in writing), just ask. I have experience teaching and my career has a strong focus on professional coaching, so I am perfectly happy to beta read for anyone. Enjoy reading and writing. The critical survey of artistic thought and nuance in many venues has always been of interest to me. Increasingly the entertainment and the occasionally raw creative beauty featured in some videogames have surpassed many of my critical reverences to other media, though I appreciate and attempt to draw influences for my emulation from all that I am familiar. Tell me what you think of my works, if you wish, even the old ones; I tend to go back and revise often. I'll return the favor. Story statuses and synopses: (Complete) What We Scientists Like to Call - Cross between a Monty Python sketch show and a police procedural, with plenty of inspiration from the former. Seifer returns to Garden and is given the task of heading security and discipline. Evaluating staff and students are part of his new job and his first task is to determine if Instructor Trepe is fit for her position. Seiftis undertones, but they never get too far. A sequel may be coming shortly to rectify that, should there be interest. (Complete) Concrete Angel - My attempt to relate the burden of Rinoa becoming a sorceress with the use of the eponymous song and without the use of any names. It's sad. Not much else to say, except that I hope you find it moving. (Complete) Albedo - Judge and jury await Seifer in time compression. He has neither defense nor advocate. (Complete) Past Tense, Perfect Tense - Quistis stumbles upon Seifer's dorm before all of his personal items are scheduled to be taken away upon his death. She thinks on what he meant to her in looking at his belongings before they are gone. (Complete) Everyone Comes to Almasy's - Galbadia has subjugated half the world and has finally compelled Esthar to war against it. Anyone on the mega-continent, however, has only one hope of escape: Dollet. There you can find human liberty, for a price. Rinoa and Squall must pay Seifer for theirs. Based on a classic film. (Complete) The Void Which Bound - Garden and SeeD life is crumbling after their purpose has been served. The fated children are lost and cannot find their way after losing their own and their source of strength. Probably the saddest piece I've ever written. (Complete) If You Looked Just Right - An outsiders view of the madness and aftermath of surviving on the losing side of a war that took everything from you, just because he tried to protect it. (In Progress) In The End - Months after the final battle with Ultimecia, Selphie searches for Seifer, hoping to find him before Galbadia does. (In Progress) An Unwanted Need - Years after Ultimecia's defeat, Quistis and Seifer are both Garden instructors - and close friends. When she comes to him for help preparing for a mission, it ends up sending their relationship into an unwanted spiral. (In Progress) Clinical - The University of Deling Health System is home to the world's finest general surgeon. His services are needed by a famous SeeD, who must protect her identity, find out what is wrong with her, and correct it. But her intentions aren't only for self-preservation, for she isn't the only one hiding something. |
