So. Good. I never thought about the Doctor going to River in the computer to have his first time with her, but I suppose that would make perfect sense, as she has been saved there for years at that point. Best not to keep her waiting any longer.

I'm not a fan of Dr Who fiction, but this may just have won me over. You caught the characters perfectly; I could hear Matt and Alex saying the words. I also loved the context - so fitting to have the two continuing to meet even though one of them is dead. Well done.
