I enjoyed this drabble. I liked the image of Dean putting a fragment of Cas' trenchcoat under his pillow. Like he's a little kid and the coat is his teddy bear.

"The room's lights flickered by way of agreement." - possibly the most awesome description of a stupid motel room. :)

Also- doesn't dean know? if someone attacks in the middle of the night, it's much safer to keep a knife under your pillow.
