I love all of these! You do a really great job with balancing sadness, sweetness, and humor.

This was a really beautiful story, and I really enjoyed reading it. Your characterization was great and I loved all the different names for the promised day. XD

Ah, and Roy finally gets it right. Though how I wish the circumstances were better! But, I love getting Ed!voice this time around, complete with Inner Alphonse. And, the opening where Ed hears there's a problem and immediately (and literally) hops is a train is both so very *Ed* and such a great picture of their friendship. I only wish it weren't ending on such a melancholy note and that I could see a bit more of this futureverse, but it's been fun!

This is been a beautifully tragic story. The details amazing, description magnificent, and the overall story line simply breathtaking. This has been a unique take on the afterstory of Fullmetal Alchemist. I never thought of anything like this happening. I always thought that Roy and Riza would finally have their happy ending, after all the Hell they'd been through. But this, this somehow makes more sence for the original manga/ anime. It has been a pleasure to read and review this maginificent story.

Seems like someone could finally write a beautiful Fullmetal Alchemist masterpeice right.

Awww, poor Hawkeye. I like to think she gets a happy ending, though.

I like how you write Roy's point of view - he's suitably snarky. When you switched to Ed's though, I couldn't really tell it wasn't Roy until the kid referred to him as Mustang. I guess they share enough personality traits and all, so there probably should be a little similarity. I imagined there would be a difference in their thinking, like Mustang thinking in more refined wording and such.

Good job showcasing their relationship, though. The two can really relate on some issues; I'd classify it as a mutual respect with some teasing due to the age gaps. Not homosexual in any way, haha.

It's a definitely different tone, but not an unwelcome one. I like how it flows from the now-familiar, cranky Roy-speak into something more serious. And then, it comes around full circle for a minute as Roy *really* wants his pie.

The comic bits are still great. Roy's "take that" thoughts at the sheep and his, "What did he want me to do, go all 'Edward Elric!'-Armstrong on him?" are my favorites. *cackled at that one*

But, I like the more serious moment between them too. It's a nice development in their odd little parental/mentor/friendship thing.

Bwahaha..! This is great. You kept everyone so in character, and that makes for a great story!

*laughs* Ah, I see Roy still hasn't found the right new name for Ed. *looks back and cackles at Roy's, "What, did Elric finally chop off his hippie braid?"* Something about that line is just hilarious. And, there at the end, I somehow suspect it's lucky for Roy too that no kittens were harmed. Even if he's still weak and leaning on a crutch, it's probably a bad idea to hurt kittens in front of Al.

Hehe... I loved it! But you know what this reminds me of? That song 'That's Not My Name!' by the Ting Tings... No joke... That's their band name. Well anyway, I really loved this and hope to see more from you!
