DaemonAvatar chapter 11 . 3/17/2004 Next time don't use Shimabara because that is not a name, only the first half of the fighting style Shimabara Batoryuu. |
Ocean chapter 13 . 2/13/2004 I was reading your journal and you said that you didn't like "World Without an Image". I loved it! I like the theme Misao trying to reconcile who she was in the past and who she is now... making her realize that she had to face her own demons before she could be happy. Though, I can understand why you feel disconnected with it and unhappy with the story. Its always the writer of the story that can see the most faults with it. Anways, I read one the the super long comments about how your writing style is plain and that at times you are unrealistic when it comes to ki sensing. As a martial artist, I would like to say that the idea of ki sensing doesn't bother me at all. It isn't realistic... and doesn't need to be realistic. I mean, Rurouni Kenshin the series, is not realistic. I just treat those sort of things as sci fi, and treat it as a mechanism in the story. Also, he said that your style was plain. I don't see anthing wrong with that. Sometimes too much details clutter up what you are trying to say or present. (That's from famous American writer Willa Cather. So I'm not saying this out of a superiority complex or anything.) That's all that I have to say. Keep up the good work! |
