I figured I'd point it out now while I just finished reading the chapter. -kun is a boy honorific specifically used for only boys, -chan is for a girl. -san can be used for either one depending on the age of the person spoken to and type of relationship between the people speaking.

This was such a sweet story! Definately a favorite!
