I just re-read your wonderful story while shuffling through FF. Please tell me you haven't abandoned us! JD is in an awful place - alone, frightened, and again on the run. You've built up the suspense with strong, sure strokes. The horrors of his past have JD in a death grip. How will the others find him again and break that grip? Please keep writing!

Great chapter, actually made me very emotional... I thought it would be hard to let JD go through something much worse than what you described in the last chapter.. Obviously that shows why you are a really good writer who was able to write this chapter, and not me :). Loved how you were able to describe it, and I hope you'll update soon, because I just can't believe that JD will always keep running...

Wow, that was a very intense history for JD. The poor boy made the best of a horrible situation and none of the guys would blame him for what happened to him. I can see where Gavin would have that kind of hold on JD; he's seen Gavin do such horrible things and is just so crazy. Removing himself from the team is one way to protect them but I think it won't work for much longer. Love how Vin is so open in his determination to get JD back; Vin is right that they need to take Gavin down to make sure they are all safe. JD just can't see that now and won't listen to reason. I'm sure JD won't get very far. Such a powerful chapter and a tragic story for JD. Thank you for this; it's a great explanation for why JD left and I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Amazing. Just, amazing. JD's story was definitely not one that I expected, but you've created an awesome villain here, one that JD has almost a love/hate thing with - you've really captured how people in abusive relationships feel about their abusers, how they try to think the best of them even when they wish they could leave. For that, I tip my imaginary hat to you. *Tips imaginary hat* Sorry I don't have a real one, but I've got a big head and hats look terrible on me. XD

I was surprised JD gave in so easily...so of course he didn't. I kinda hope Vin calls in the cavalry soon; angsty protective Seven is my favorite, and you know I love JD whumpage. And I can't help but wonder about the inevitable time when JD and Gavin have a confrontation and possessive!Gavin faces off with possessive!Seven (and of course possessive-alpha-male-team-leader!Chris). That's a part I'm seriously looking forward to, the whole "he's ours!" thing.

I've so enjoyed this take on JD. You've captured his essence so well and offered fascinating tidbits about his past and what might have happened to cause him to run now. You've worked the interactions of the others into the story quite well. I've been anxiously awaiting a new chapter to learn more about JD's reasons for running. Please tell me you haven't given up on this story - it is quite original and I've enjoyed the first two chapters immensely.

This is fantastic. Love the mystery and intrigue surrounding JD's past. I hope you continue with this. This has raw emotion permeating at the seams. The lack of good, Casey-less JD stories on Fan Fiction had led me to move on to greener pastures in search of some. By a twist of fate I happened across this gem, and I'm absolutely in love with it. The suspense is amazing and the emotions between the guys are wonderful and so deliciously poignant. Throw in a mysterious, intriguing past, JD whumpage and protective family!Seven and you've got one of the best M7 fanfics I've ever read. Needless to say I'm dying for more (and frankly I was just delighted that this story was recent and was likely to be updated in the hopefully near future) and I can't wait for the next chapter!
