Astrido chapter 14 . 5/13/2019 Hi, please update, you said you have the next chapter's finished, right? Cheers Maya |
MildlyMiffed chapter 16 . 3/17/2019 Hey. Hi. Hello. So, this story? This story here? I've got some uh, what'chu call em, opinions? Thoughts? Feelings? Yeah, feelings. I've got some feelings about this story. Just gonna jump right into it yeah? 1. Love the concept. It's pretty much exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see explored in this DCMK series? Like, I get that canon doesn't have the time to delve into the physcological aspect or repercussions of the whole uh, situation. The Conan-thing. All of that. But. That's why I love fanfiction. And that's why I love this story. I was surprised that not many fics tackled the mental stress of Shinichi having to be Conan all the time. So thank you thank you for exploring this concept! 2. Ohohoh I really like how you've treated the Shinichi-Conan divide. Especially chapter 11 (Amplector). That shit was superb. It came across as a bit more of cohabitation situation between the two personas – Shinichi does this, Conan does that – which I really really liked. And then of course the moments where one persona just drops off and the other is left to deal with whatever traumatic situation has presented itself, those are very good as well. Poor Conan, here in this latest chapter. Shinichi just sort of folded the moment Gin's head was revealed... like, I get it. But poor Conan. 3. Good plot good plot! Love me a mysterious killer with mysterious intentions towards our poor protagonist. Also good way of upping the stakes by including the BO here, especially as victims. Get rekt Gin. 4. I am new to DCMK. So glad I found this fic though. I actually stumbled upon it back while still catching up with the series (Nov 2018 I think?), read it all then, and then didn't save or review! Shame on me! So I'm back! I remembered the title and plot and wanted to give it a reread. Very glad I did. I do love this good Heiji-Shinichi-Conan interaction. It's nice stuff. 5. Hey can I also say how inspiring it is to see that you've stuck with this since 2011? 'Cause wow! I'm impressed and awed! Thank you thus far for your dedication to this story! 6. Heiji wins best boy award. He's very good here. Thank you for this good good Heiji depiction. I trust him with my life. 7. B-plot shenanigans with Hakuba and Kaito are good. I like what they've been digging in to. That good outsider-looking-in shitck. Feels like it might come back to bite them though. Can't wait! 8. And... that's all I've got for now. Typing reviews on a phone is a bit exhausting, surprisingly. I hope this finds you well and happy! Thank you for writing this fic! I'd love to see it continue, but at the same time I want you to do what's best for you! I'm thrilled about what's already been written, and that will always be the case no matter if this is all that's available. Thank you again for the unique story! Cheers! :) |
Guest chapter 7 . 2/1/2019 D'aww... |
Guest chapter 6 . 2/1/2019 On this … fifth?... rereading, I am now noticing that there may just be dozens of references peppered throughout the story, and I am getting sidetracked trying to place the ones that don't come as easily. Such a fun little puzzle, and well placed given the series this is a fic of! 3 |
Guest chapter 4 . 2/1/2019 Kasumi from Ranma 1/2? Sounds like her. |
Guest chapter 3 . 2/1/2019 I suppose "dysfunctional" does focus on the divorced, but none of the family's are standard normal. Most of them involve at least one dead or otherwise absent parent, several parents are rarely even in the same country as their teenaged children, and at least a cluster or two are a family made of bonds not blood like Ai and the Professor. I'm not sure any of them are actually stereotypical standard even at a casual glance - in that way the Mouri's are almost the most normal, at least pre-Conan. XD |
Littwink chapter 16 . 6/12/2018 Ahhhh, when Conan screams I felt so bad for him such a rough time he’s going through. Anyways, love the way you’re focusing on the mental health of DC! Keep it up! |
Astrido chapter 16 . 6/7/2018 Hu, all very mysterious, but the idea with mpd is really interesting. It's certainly something to consider. I like heiji here, he's like a mama bear for conan. It's great that he immediately understands what's going on and believing it. I just don't understand how ran and kazuha come to the conclusion that conan is Shinichi. He didn't say anything incriminating... Good luck with the next chapter. Cheers Maya |
Guest chapter 5 . 5/15/2018 Honestly shoving a garlic clove up someone's nose works on just about everyone, and Kaito definitely has the dexterity to pull it off, so... XD |
phantomstorymaker chapter 16 . 4/6/2018 Soo Ran knows? That's the vibe I'm getting here, that she knew but never voiced it out because she trusts Shinichi to reveal it to her when it's safe. Also split personality would explain a lot here...poor Shinichi and Conan. I don't mind any ship, though I feel it might change to the former one once you begin with the heavy plot (the others will have to get themselves involved afterall, don't think I've forgotten about the camera KID set up) |
doremishine itsuko chapter 16 . 2/11/2018 since I did not recall too much of this story I read it again wow! Please update I want to know who is the sick bastard that is making a mess to sweet conan kun BTW do you ship heijixconan because I totally do man that was hillarious reading how hakuba thinks about their relationship and how kaito kid is worried about his tantei kun so sweet..!" |
Guest chapter 9 . 7/3/2017 A major factor to me in Shinichi mostly just becoming drowned in paranoia as a result of the series rather than horrifically traumatized is because by all accounts his corpse-magnetism is not at all new- he's had it to some degree for most of his life, presumably greatly reduced as a young child but escalating with age. He's /definitely/ in need of strong support of really good friends -as he's slowly accumulating- because shit is crazy. But he /had/ to have learned to compartmentalize or /something/ ages ago to not have gone batty /before/ being shrunk. Adding all of the sources of major stress that have been piling on since he got shrunk would certainly be enough of an overload to contribute to something like this split-personality-ish problem. Especially if we have to assume that many of not most of his previous coping mechanisms would be crippled by his current physical age, his new living situation, and/or trying to avoid being recognized. (Can't drink coffee freely, can't hole up in his library at home, short enough to stand under the chairs unimpeded- which could help with hiding but also makes a lot of things impossible without help-, harder to be taken seriously when solving the crime after stumbling on it, schoolwork is so pathetically easy for him it's distracting abilities last for mere minutes at best...) |
Guest chapter 4 . 7/3/2017 It's nice to actually see people's personal names get used for once, outside of rare dialogue pops. I know /why/ surnames get used more, but it's nice to see them written as people too. |
SakuraKoi chapter 15 . 11/14/2016 this story is really good i want more |
AccountKiller00010000000000000 chapter 7 . 11/4/2016 What an awkward situation the ended presented us... lol :D |
