Personally, I'd rather see the latter. This has been interesting so far.

See.. the premise of the story WAS interesting. But now you have some cock and bull story about people who are supposedly engaged to him but have just never told him (without any actual reason not to), numerous mysterious figures who somehow watch all that goes on (only one is enough to ruin a story, ‘nuff said) and you’ve bought into the trope of the goblins having far more power than they should have.

This may sound like a stupid question, but when the toliet is used in a trunk where does the waste go? Is an it disposed by magic or do you have to empty a tank every now and then? Am I just over-thinking this?
