I just read through the whole thing again. I liked it! One of my favorites was Jail's "I think I'm learning. You put me here to learn, didn't you? I *can learn*." Bureau psychologists 1, Mad scientists 0.

Hm. It seems that the Huckebein were unaware that the Bureau was at war. Explains why the weren't expecting the swift and merciless response they got.

While the Huckebein being hit by over 100 nukes was gratifying, I think nuclear fratricide would have been a bit of a problem.

Well, that's one way to take the Hukebein out. Despite the TSAB's, admittedly warranted, pathological dislike of mass weapons, it says a lot when the only way to take out a target is through using them.

I may be misreading what we have seen of Olivie, but I get the sense that she would be absolutely horrified by the idea of deleting Vivio to put her in full control. It certainly runs against everything she preached and she did die for her cause, IIRC. I'll wager if an actual fight breaks out, she would be in control and fighting against the kidnappers.

None of that, or anything else short of a starship matters. Between this, the incident with Arnage earlier, the fakes and the end of A's, Drei is pretty clearly invincible if she really is equivilent to the original Reinforce. As long as she's protecting Vivio, that is that.

Wow, I'd forgotten all about Drei, and how the Hückebein had been involved in this story. Not too mention, that Olivie had begun to "bleed" through Vivio. I hope that the two personalities will find a way to coexist, or merge, without erasing or changing Vivio beyond recognition. Wait, wasn't there some kind of breakthrough in the "main" storyline with unison devices? That could be an option.

Nanoha in mama bear mode, just the idea of it makes me shudder. She fights most opponents with a smile on her face, the only time in series someone pissed her off enough for her to bring her full power she PUNCHED A HOLE THROUGH A STARSHIP!

Hayate has terraforming teams on standby in case she screws the environment accidentally (stated in War Chronicles). Rein is a the same level of power. And the Saint Church actually went through with thinking about taking Vivio.

I have this image in my mind of Nanoha's capabilities and drawbacks. One of them being the rules under which she's allowed to fight. My guess is there is a line in her RoE that says, "Under no circumstances fire a Starlight Breaker over a Leyline in any direction that intersects the Planet." These are mages that are under the same positive action control measures as modern day nukes. Their combat rules seem to be the same, set to minimize the resulting damage to the environment.

Would love to one day see what a high end spell for Hayate is, considering to her a low end is the multi kiloton Diabolic Emission.

It never occurred to me just what it meant to have Olive in Vivio's body- or what it would mean to the saint church. But nicely done.

I can't help but think its not a coincidence that in one story you have a problem which could be solved with a Unison device, and in your other story you have people who have just figured out how to BUILD a unison device. Looking foward to seeing how that turns out.

Bonus points for Drei being terrifying.

Vivio seemed unusually unphased by Olive- surely she would have noticed SOMETHING about her occasional possession, or at least the way people have changed the way they treat her. How old is she again?

That was awesome. Little Number Four, all alone in the Void between Arms, when even her father has done something to redeem himself in the eyes of the state.

Really though she's going to go even more insane and she's immortal. Ouch. She might be there til the Third fall of interstellar civilization. Or she escapes.

That's not a fight, it was a slaughter. I'm guessing these group of New Belkans were barely trained recruits, maybe didn't have any officers to properly coordinate the attack. Makes sense I guess, since their faction has suffered many casualties as well so their veterans are either dead or being reserved for more vital uses.

Looks like the war is taking its toll on the New Belkans too.
