I’m really enjoying this alternate fork in the original story. You’ve done a great job in showing how this two characters can have the major misunderstanding resolved but still clash. It’s a more realistic portrayal of most relationships.

I don't tend to review older, unfinished stories chapter by chapter unless I absolutely love them. This was such a pleasure to read. I sincerely hope you still have that post-it note in order to finish this lovely story. I have one last story of yours to read and I hope that when I finish it there will be a new update for both your unfinished stories. You have easily become one of my favorite authors in this fandom. Thank you for sharing this story and your talents with us.

Reality aside, it was going to take some drastic action for Ellen to warm up to Rhett after everything she's heard about him and helping Mammy nurse her did the trick. I very much enjoyed this chapter and as always, your superb writing.

I always wanted to see what would happen if Rhett went to Tara and how Scarlett's parents, especially Ellen, would react to their daughter's relationship with Rhett. I love how you've tweaked the story and I'm glad you didn't have Rhett abandon them to join the army.

I read this entire chapter with a grin on my face. Firstly, besides Scarlett realizing that she loves Rhett, she actually tells him and he admits his feelings for her. Secondly, what woman wouldn't want this Rhett Butler following her to his room. I can't even talk about a wet shirt and Rhett Butler in the same sentence! The ring being in his pocket was just an added bonus. Why couldn't this have happened instead? As far as I'm concerned this story could end here, never be updated again and I would be happy. I can't help gushing over this chapter.

I wish MM had given us a glimpse of this flower scene beyond its brief mention. I like how you've tied it to the mistress scene. I do however wish Scarlett had dumped the water on Rhett. He deserves it! He doesn't even realize he's damaging his chances with Scarlett. I love their playful banter.

At first, I was a bit worried when Rhett didn't follow her at the dance but then he did the unthinkable: he follows her into the house and shows her how badly she needs to be kissed. The last part of this chapter may just be one of my favorite scenes in the fandom. I also love how someone always has to tell Scarlett that Rhett loves her before she realizes it herself as well as her own feelings.

This chapter was delightful. Poor, frustrated, jealous Scarlett! Is Harriet a cousin? One of Belle's girls? Whoever she is, Rhett is winning this battle between two of the most stubborn characters in all of literature.

Seriously Melly! Your timing sucks. You have to smile at the panic Scarlett feels at the thought that Rhett may have a sweetheart. I hope Scarlett's game doesn't backfire and she falls in love with Rhett as a result.

Someone should inform Scarlett that a nearly shirtless Rhett is exactly what she needs, not to mention all us Rhett-lovers. He is just too smooth sometimes. Love the gift and Scarlett's reaction. I'm going to ignore the date of this post and insist on an update and ending to both your stories.
