While this is very romantic and smartly composed, for me it lacks something. It lacks scenes. Emotional scenes between L and Mello. Too much description and too little action. I also think you use too many adjectives per sentence.

Not a pairing I would usually read, but this was exeptionally and beautifully written. You really had me sucked in with the first few lines. Great style and interesting idea. I enjoyed it very much.

There aren't many times that I can really get into LxMello, but you made the pairing work on so many levels that I've lost count. Your understanding of the psychological sides of each character is what really made this so beautiful. You probed deeper into both L and Mello that made this story not only stunning, but believable and alive and just wonderful.

Ive never seriously considered this pairing before, and it doesnt totally click with me, but you pulled it of nicely. and of course, your writing style is so incredibly beautiful and subtly fatalistic, that i think i could enjoy anything you write ;)

This made me smile and tear-up just a little. I do believe L and Mello are made for each other, whether or not they realize it or us fans want to admit it. They have it in spades over other pairings as far as excitement and complication goes and that to me is more than enough to root for this pair. And you, you write them best, wondrous with a hint of waiting tragedy. Please do write more if you could because you might just be the saving grace of this ship!

I loved it. L/Mello has become a favorite pairing of mine, and this story is definatly my favorite one about them so far. It seemed very...real, and I just..loved it.
