Poor, sweet little Cloud. Makes sense, though. Its hard to stand up for what's right when popularity is on the line. Very nice explanation of how she could be Cloud's 'friend' and still be popular.

I liked it just fine, the angst of being a naive young girl is a burden when you're older, I should know. But there's one thing that bothers me. Tifa's mother died when she was eight, and yet she's ten in this story... how does that work?

Damn, maybe it also has something to do with the angst-esque song I'm listening to at the moment coupled with the pouring rain but I was a sobbing sack of tears by the end of this fic. It's cruel but realistic, how cowardly kids become and hating themselves for it. Poor freaking Cloud though (damn tears are springing again). And whilst it would've been nice and "yay friendship!" if Tifa had stood up for him, but it's so much better this way.

The whole "why are you letting them do this to me?/I understand why you won't help" bit *sob, wipes nose*.

Wonderful oneshot. I've always been partial to stories that focus on the thoughts and emotions as opposed to action and you captured those very well. Knowing it is a oneshot, I still wish you would right a followup in the same vein.

Simply put: beautiful story. Sad, but beautiful.

The emotional power in this story is simply amazing. You've brilliantly captured Tifa's flaws without judging or bashing her.

As a rule, I try to avoid fics that I feel "demonize" Tifa. Your fic didn't demonize her though, you made her human- and that is why this is a good fic. It's uncomfortable to read, but she's human, she's not an angel, she's not a demon, she's a 10 year old girl. I really liked this fic, and the crows made for very interesting imagery.
