I'm heart-ache sick and brimming with brilliant feelings over this wonderful, wonderful story.
I never thought anyone could take the figure of the tyrant king and keep him cruel but make him someone who Peter could love, who I as a reader could love. I understand that he is discriminatory and violent and harsh and cruel. But Miraz also loves Peter deeply. He wanted to protect him, and he loves him as much as he can, given his status and initial perspective about the worth of people and material values and hierachy. Perhaps he loves him even more than what his cruel beliefs would allow.
Now I'm heart sick. I've been reading fiction since I was 11 years old and now, 9 years later I have only ever loved three characters who are not what they were in the canon, but who broke my heart and became human and somehow more than human through the eyes of another writer.
Whitney Fordman, Aaron and now, thanks to you, Miraz.
And I know this will just ruin me when I finish reading because there will never be another fic which handles Miraz/Peter, not the way Miraz exists when you write him.
This story is something special. Peter wouldn't be who he is if he surrendered. But I see Miraz with his angry, repressed tears and choked out "apologize, blame anyone else, just let me protect you, let me keep you" and he says "lover and slave" but he means "you're the only thing I believe in, the last good person in the world and I love you more than words can say but I'm vile and cruel and you're too good for me but I want you anyways" nd gosh I just want them to be okay, together.
I understand that they can't be.

But oh man. You have written a brilliant and impossible love story.

This is terrible. I give it a hundred thumbs down. Peter is so OOC you might as well slap your own name on him and be done with it. How about "Peepee" as it seems to fit the general quality of your writing and this sad little tale. Then you can write to your hearts content about poor widdle woobie Peepee blushing and stammering before his hawt bad boy luver Crap-ian. And no one who actually read the books will give a shit.
I just wonder what goes on in the minds of the people who like this rubbish. Do they actually think anybody male acts this way? Or are they shamelessly indulging their little fangirl fantasies? And do they think it realistic that Peter, whether he was high king or not, would ever be such a pathetic little boob? Or do they not care as long as they get some steamy and suitably unrealistic seme/uke scenes to wet their panties over? I am literally laughing my ass off at how stupid and poorly written this steaming heap of crap of a story is.

OH MY GOODNESS. I can't believe I haven't seen this fic before! I majorly ship Caspian/Peter and there are so few multi chaptered fics of them in this fandom! :(
