I am so very late to this party, but someone recently recommended this story on Facebook, and given the current state of the world, I thought it would be an appropriate read. And, it was wonderful! This line resonated especially due to the current pandemic: "Numbers don't make loss less," Carlisle replied. "Each person who dies is someone's father or mother, son or daughter, brother or sister."So very true!

My God, I have never read something like this. It is fantastic! So heart wrenching, but oh so beautiful. It's perfect. Carlisle's feelings, his struggle, Edward's love for his parents and his good heart shining through such a dark period. And especially Elizabeth's words, 'My son, look on your father. Father look on your son'. Blew my mind away! ! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.

This was poignant and beautiful. Your depiction of Carlisle's compassion and Elizabeth's desperate strength was incredible. And Edward's manners and upbringing was clear. I truly loved the prayers and biblical references. Well done. One of my favs.

I, too have studied both the organ and the piano. My first love is the organ. I loved the story, especially the way that Carlisle finally accepted that God had given him the opportunity to do what he could to save Edward.
