That was wonderful! You wrote Holmes extremely well! Bravo! Please tell me you have others written... *goes to look*. I'm at pisces317 here on FF if you want to respond, btw - the site wouldn't let me log in.

BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 2/11/2012
Sounds like Holmes's return was harder than he anticipated.
Jedi Ani Unduli chapter 1 . 10/31/2011
THANK YOU! I love these stories that show Holmes and Watson with a brotherly love - NOT SLASHY! I really don't like slash, and besides, the author intended them to be brothers, really really close probably to show that, yes, everyone CAN have friends.

Thank you once again!

AdidasandPie chapter 1 . 4/28/2010
Wow- very...what's the word? Insightful? Super-awesome?
I really liked this- I think you got Holmes' feelings down perfectly- some real emotion, but not gushing all over the place.
My favorite line, the one that pulled on my heartstrings the most (aren't I figurative) was "he...hadn't meant to..."
Yes, that was a good one.
xxClosed Accountxx chapter 1 . 1/10/2010
"Watson wasn’t angry...Watson wasn’t sad. Watson was just wounded—hurt.

Human nature was like that. It didn’t always, it seemed, need the most solid reasons for feeling anything. It did not always look at everything coldly, as he did.

But…Holmes supposed he shouldn’t worry about it anymore. The most important essential had been given to him.

Watson had forgiven him."

I really like those lines because it shows that like me (and maybe like everyone else!), you also think that Holmes is the stronger one when it comes to IQ but Watson is the stronger one when it comes to EQ (Keeping in mind that each gentlmen does enjoy the other attribute to a respectable amount.) Maybe that’s why those two work so well together!

Lovely writing! Keep up the good work.
Tristan-the-Dreamer chapter 1 . 1/3/2009
Dare I say what I think? How can I do so? But-

HOLMES YOU BUGGER! You listen to me! I don't care about this or that, whatever, listen okay! It doesn not matter that you didn't predict this would happen. Look I understand that. Life is crazy, always so many possibilites, yay.

But...but...BUT! That does not change the fact that it DID happen this way, an unpredicted way.

Am I mad? I don't even know my own thoughts!

No...but, okay, fine I will listen to you for a minute.

Okay. Okay, okay, so human nature is the worst puzzle ever to figure out. Okay, I understand.

Okay, Holmes, it's cool, but you are so frustrating sometimes...but in the end, if you didn't know something about human nature, really no one can blame you. Que sera sera.
bcbdrums chapter 1 . 7/13/2008
ah, this is better than most of the slough of EMPT fics that are drifting around the site.

you capture holmes's inner voice better than almost everyone on this site. really, there's only one person i'd place above you in that respect.

and you do a good job of isolating the specific feelings and explaining them.

so sad...but so good. nicely done :)
Sorashana chapter 1 . 4/7/2008
Personally, I'm just glad you don't write slash fics. It means I can safely read all of your works without worrying about a pairing later on down the road. I personally despise slash. Maybe that's because I know the reason for...those emotions. Bible Quize, Romans chapter one from the section titled God's Wrath Against Mankind. Gotta love it. Okkayy, tangent much. I love it. It seems so...accurate. That could just be me, of course.
Susigolfin chapter 1 . 3/11/2008
I don't know how you have so many dudes about this job... to me is magnific, and your vision on EMPT is likely (and well presented in fanfic, by the way) Congratulations, this is very well done.

PS: The high privilege of us the readers is see how much new POV add each week about this (and others) episodes in the Canon; really, you has done, my girls. Viva the challengers!
Igiveup chapter 1 . 3/5/2008
This was really nice, I loved it.
VHunter07 chapter 1 . 3/5/2008
Oh wow, that was amazing! You certainly do a marvelous job of delving into Holmes mind! And I completely agree with you. Holmes is often misunderstood in the fact that I don't think he EVER thought about how badly Watson could be hurt by his silence. Glad to see someone finally showing that! Great job!
KCS chapter 1 . 3/5/2008
Hmm. You know, I really ever thought of it quite like that. I'm definitely more of a Holmes myself than a Watson, and I agree that I never thought the whole thing was excessively cruel, as you put it - just a little too heartless, perhaps.

This was a very well done piece of introspection - it was sweet without being sappy, and the slow methodical realization of the Biblical concept of greater love and forgiveness was logical and completely in character -

and a lovely way for me to start the day - thanks!

Elizabeth Arian chapter 1 . 3/5/2008
Really nice, i agree with you I think Holmes is heavily misunderstood, maybe that's his charm?

Holmes’s head raised slowly, his grey eyes excessively watery as they looked up at the ceiling, as if they could see through.

I love that sentence, I don't know why...

Nice :)
