Interesting chapter; someone on a TV Tropes page(I think that's what the site was), or some site in that vein, thought this story had a 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo type vibe to it(I found these comments by the way when I was searching for fan fiction stories at one point a few years ago also).

I can agree with this, as John Stranger is reminiscent of Vincent Van Ghoul a little bit, and the book of Goosebumps itself is similar to the Chest of Demons(with a group of young people trying to get the monsters released back into the book, much as Mystery Inc. tried to return the spirits to the Chest of Demons).

In any case, I look forward to seeing what happens next in this story.
