I love this story so much! I know it’s been a while since you updated it, but I just really wanted you to know that I’ve come back to this story several times because I love the premise of Caspian caring for his cousin, and all of the parallels to his own childhood affecting their relationship. I also really like the way that you’ve captured the tone of a small child not really understanding his surroundings and everything going on around him in Mika.

Aaarrrggghhhh Please! The people are Calormenes (pronounced calluhmeans). The culture is Calormene. The name of the Country and land is Calormen (pronounced c'LORm'n). Why do so many fan fiction writers get this wrong and mixed up? Its like Japan and Japanese people. Burma and Burmese people. It's that simple.
Look I know it could be confusing because Calor is Latin for Heat (and therefore that is probably the origin of the word Colour) and the word Men is used in the name of the country and men of colour live there. But honestly the country is not called "Calormene", the people are. Check the first page of The Horse and His Boy!

I so want to read your story and enjoy it but this crappy mistake just gets in the way. We need to believe we are reading Lewis!

Spelling. TashbAAn. Not TashbAn. ComplEment has a different meaning to complIment. You've used the first but you meant the second.
I'm also looking for signs in behaviour in young Mika that suggest a boy who has survived on the streets: food hoarding and gobbling, being inarticulate, distrusting of adults, cringing, scratching, running away etc. I also am looking for signs of Caspian being reflective and sensitive and more friendly to the kid. He's like that. He's not dealing with it at all well and it seems out of character. In fact, Caspian's inner journey is not being explored here at all seemingly, it's sort of from Mika's point of view only. The lord who brought him to court seems to have set the conflict up deliberately. The reasons why need to be followed up. Maybe you get there eventually. It all seems a little out of step. Wrong tone I reckon. A private audience and a slow introduction would have been friendlier to everybody concerned, the kid too.

I just looked up Mephibosheth, and realized that none of the parallels could possibly be coincidental ;)

Love this story in the Bible, and so far I'm loving your variation on the theme set in Narnia.

I love this. I was expecting to see something heavy on the angst and drama, not a work of art that made me think back to the books and wish there were more! While I am reminded in some aspects of the book _A Horse and His Boy_ this work stands wonderfully on its own.

I wonder what else other than the aforementioned book has been your inspiration for the character Mika? I was wondering if you intend to draw the allusion to King David's treatment of Jonathan's son as described int he Bible, when you instead took a decidedly different turn with mention of a curse on the Caspian bloodline. Very interesting and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm looking forward to where you take things next!

Well, it is certainly nice to have the story updated after such a long time! That was a nice little surprise at the end of the chapter, one I didn't expect after Maren's illness. Hope you keep updating!
