Just found this story and I loved it. You didn’t try to rewrite what was already canon (despite canon having left us with garbage, unfathomable relationships). Instead, you made it something more realistic, enjoyable, and rewarding for us as readers.

This was really well-written, and I'm shocked (in a good way!) that a (at the time) 17-year-old had the emotional maturity to write so convincingly of marriage and family responsibilities. I hope that didn't sound patronising - definitely not the intention. A very sweet and real-feeling story that accurately portrayed the weight and consequences of people's actions.

This story made me extremely depressed. I actually had trouble sleeping at night because of it. It wasn't the 'being in love but forced to be apart' trope that bothered me, it was the idea of someone like Hermione missing out on her true potential. Someone like Hermione being a housewife makes me vomit. It made me think, how many other people in this world are aware of what they can truly achieve yet aren't able to because of factors outside of their control like social pressures or economic situations or backgrounds. Not really 'living, just 'existing' and going through the motions. I can't fathom how they must feel. It makes me feel afraid as well, could that happen to me? Just one day wake up and realize what could have been?

Your story was incredible. Granted, this is something I should've realized from someone like malala instead of a fanfiction story but getting the message at the end of the day is all that matters isn't it? Thank you.
