This was lovely...relaxed and peaceful and realistic. I really enjoyed it.

Seeing Harry and Hermione as just a normal couple within the magical world in a time of peace after the war is a nice change of pace from what I normally read and this was done really well. Harry and Hermione really feel like a typical married couple in this. I also like the idea of Harry as Head of Slytherin as a professor and the reason you gave for it.

The Wizarding public in England, as depicted in canon and in many fics, would almost certainly turn against Slytherins in general once they knew that Tom Riddle and most of his death eaters were in that house at Hogwarts. So having a hero of the war, and a Gryffindor as a student, take over as Head of Slytherin in order to cut-off any possible retribution towards that house would be a genius idea. No one but the biggest of idiots would try anything against the students in a house headed by Harry Potter and Harry would probably be sure to mention that the person who actually betrayed his family was a Gryffindor himself, putting a dent in the argument that Slytherin is the "evil" house.

First things first: I don't usually like Harry/Hermione stories - it's just that I'm more of a Draco/Hermione; Hermione/Tom (only through time-travel); Hermione/Sirius Black (ditto); Harry/Luna; Harry/Ginny etc. Basically, most fics that put Harry/Hermione together seem to lack a little something that I can't quite put my finger on.

In this case, though, I've decided to make an exception. Sure, there is no blazing attraction - but there doesn't need to be, you know. It's a sweet (forgive my use of that adjective) story with some really funny little bits of humour thrown in. I laughed at Hermione's suggestion that Harry marry Colin - unbelievably funny, that was.

Harry and Hermione's relationship in this one-shot was just amazing and really tender and calm. I loved it, to be honest.
