Reviews for Eagle Star, Hunter Moon
Sophia the Scribe chapter 9 . 11/30/2015
Well I just found this rather old fic, but I thought you still might want to know how much I like it! It is easy to forget the complex nature of human affairs: no nation is ever fully right or wrong. You deal with the issue well, while never undermining the evil of, for instance, allying with Mordor. Good job!
Blessings,
Sophia the Scribe
P.S. If you haven't read MP brennan's "Ransom," I think you would enjoy it; it's of a similar idea to this :)

IstariWho chapter 9 . 10/22/2013
great story!
This is a well thought out addendum to the classic Thorongil tale.
Hannon-le!
MP brennan chapter 9 . 3/23/2013
This is a remarkable story. Your characterization of Aragorn was excellent-you really captured his resolve, his selflessness, his self-doubt. The OCs are well-developed and multifaceted and the central conflict plays out in a way that's both satisfying and believable. I know this is an older work, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it.
lindahoyland chapter 9 . 3/9/2013
Just came across this than could not stop reading. I loved this story and Aragorn's attempts to make is a theme dear to my heart as I've written several stories about Fourth Age Gondor and Harad trying to become friends.
One small typo, there is no s on Haradrim.
This was a great read, thank you!

Awesome!
juut Telcontar chapter 1 . 11/8/2006
I just saw I hadn't reviewd this story even though I read it thrice.

Like some before me said also, I love the fact that you show the Haradrim as humans with their own feelings en ideas, just like Gondorim or Rohirrim. The Gondorim attack was shocking, but it did seem like something likely to be done in a situation like that.

The divided feeling of Aragorn, not able to choose beteween two nations he loves, both not right or wrong in their actions is also beatiful. My English writing is not good enough to write what I want to say but I hope you get the idea. (and that you are going to write more of Taluya)
Shadowed Flames chapter 3 . 4/4/2006
I've read this fic quite a while ago, but never came around to reviewing it. Not because it wasn't good, but because I was so breathtaken by it that I didn't know what to say. But without question this has been my favourite story. ever. I have never read anything so emotionally draining and so heart breaking. Especially chapters 3,4,5 and 6. I don't know what to say, but reading this has been such a ride.

Thanks for writing this.
novelteas74 chapter 9 . 4/5/2005
I just finished your story today. Very well done. For a young author, you've done yourself proud. You made us delve into the possibility that "the other side" has its viewpoint, too, something that for some bizarre reason, people just don't seem to grasp. The Haradrim prince was a good OC. I liked his bravery. The Gondorians' attack was somewhat shocking, but the method Aragorn used to settle the matter, quite interesting. Wow. You think my C2 list is "esteemed?" I appreciate that. I really DO strive to be careful what I put on there and I like to use it as a vehicle to encourage writing that is a "cut above" the average. It's also a good way for the casual browser to find some good stories in a hurry. Great story, hope you do more.
grumpy chapter 9 . 4/4/2005
Very good story. I do like the conversation at the end between Aragorn and Gandalf. that Aragorn should see the individuals, and be concerned.
sielge chapter 9 . 4/3/2005
A good end to a good story. Until next time!
Graylight chapter 9 . 4/3/2005
Very well done! Excellent idea, and the descriptions and plot completely blowed me away. Looking forward to seeing much more of your work.
AM chapter 9 . 4/2/2005
And my most sincere thanks to you for writing such a unique and well-written story.
grumpy chapter 7 . 3/31/2005
Very good story. Here Aragorn finally gets the Haradrims to think peace, only to have them attacked. Things are not looking good.
AM chapter 8 . 3/30/2005
“Gondor and Harad will have peace then, as the people willed.” If only.
