I've played a little in the Battlestar Galactica sandbox and written a fic here and there for other fandoms. These days, though, I write mostly Tolkien-based fic. My LotR fics are archived all over the place, but the most complete record (aside from this) is at "Stories of Arda."

I try to keep my LotR fics internally consistent, or nearly so. OC's introduced in one fic frequently return in another. I've now written several fics focusing on characters and events in Harad, all centered around Aragorn as "Dakheel"--"the stranger." On other archives, I've titled this series "A Stranger on the Sands." Listed chronologically, these stories are:

4. The Wizard and the Goatherd
5. A Thousand Lutes

Note that this series is mildly AU; canonically, Aragorn entered Harad after the defeat of Umbar some time in 2980 of the Third Age (where "Ransom" starts). He had undisclosed adventures in Harad, escaped to Lothlorien by way of Mordor, and still had time to win Arwen's heart and get engaged by midsummer of that year. I wanted more time to play in this particular sandbox (and to develop the love story of Aragorn and Arwen, if I ever get around to that), so in my sub-universe, Aragorn leaves Harad about ten months after he enters it, spends the winter in Lothlorien, and seals his engagement at Cerin Amroth in Midsummer of 2981, rather than 2980.
