I always love it when Hikaru goes to Sai’s related places.

Both the go games are believable, and the geography and I love you, author. I'm a go player who used to live in onomichi, so the accuracy of the details of the trip matter a lot. Thank you for getting it right, I am feeling super nostalgic now

Wow, it was amazing to read different characters reactions to the Weekly Go article. The transitions between each character were so smooth. What great flow! And you even managed to progress the storyline while doing all that! I commend your writing skills.

Come back... missing this fic a lot. I think it's because Hikaru and Akira's friendship is something I love reading about. It's also fascinating when we get to see how other people see them. This fic has all of that.

You write beautifully I give you that. But in the HnG world few talented writers are able to stretch themselves to move beyond canon just a little to offer new insights to the characters. I think why am I reading this when I can just pick up the manga?

Then you said, "I already know how I want this to end, and I can see the final chapter play out in my head." So what happened? Can we say MAJOR disappointment yet again, that you become like most fanfiction writers who never finish what they started!

And last but not least, I don't recall one HnG fanfiction where Shindo beats Touya in an 'official go game'. I had so hoped you would be different. Owari.

This is brilliantly written. I was the entire time in awe of how the story is beautifully told, and it captivated me, kept me from noticing that it's already chapter 12 I was reading. You are such a gifted writer, I would praise you that. Every characters seem so real to me, and you make me grinning from ear to ear the entire time Akira is interacting with Hikaru. They are both so lovable. I miss Hikaru no Go so much, and you made me want to go back and read the manga (as well as watch the anime) so badly. I thank you for writing this amazing fan fiction. Please, I will wait for the update as I am willing to know which way this story would go, and maybe, end.

I must say I'm very happy to have found and read this fic despite the fact that it sadly looks to be an abandoned WIP. After my first ever rewatch of the series since I originally watched it, and about to tackle rereading the manga next, I have to say that this fic really captures the feel of the story and honestly feels like an extension of HnG from where the manga left off. All of the characterizations feel spot-on. If the manga were magically extended, I could easily see it going in the same direction as this, continuing plot points that were left hanging.
