There is a bittersweetness to this story which I can’t quite put my finger on. I love one shots with a bunch of lingering strands. It’s perfect to leave the reader wanting more.

This is so moving! I am not normally a big RB fan but I thrilled that he paid enough attention that he knew Scarlett was pregnant. Maybe there is hope for them. I’m hoping that they’ve both been so impacted by their losses that they can finally treat one another well.

I was so nervous when it came time for Scarlett to tell Rhett she was pregnant, it never goes well. Good on Scarlett for calling Rhett out on his absence. One can only hope, for Scarlett’s sake, that his nonstop traveling days are over. Maybe Rhett’s ready to embrace his family. Raising a Butler child is bound to keep him young at heart.
