For the Xiao's point of view, I think it fits what we know of their personalities from the manhua and novel. Zhongqi for example did show some care for Yun's fate during the school training trip, when he tried to appeal to Beiyue to ask some teachers for help searching Yun. Ling is actually really cruel from what I heard from spoilers, five years later she actually sew Rou's mouth it seems. Her cruelty can already be seen when Beiyue entrusted her with Qin and Xue after they were incarcerated in the cells of their residence. Ling was thinking of punishing them because they never allowed her to act as she wanted before Beiyue's vengeance. |
