Finally had chance to catch up with your story with all that's going on, and I am so glad I have. You have set a good steady pace with telling the tale so far, not hurried at all, and with a good attention to the details you want to include. May Dumbles suffer and suffer. Yes Tom Riddle was bad, but Dumbles contributed massively to it. All Dumbles has ever wanted is to be exalted, revered, the grey eminence behind the throne, in reality in charge and weaving his secret plans. Voldemort is honest, Dumbles is infinitely worse.

Poor kid!

It always seemed rather effed up to me that Dumbledore left him there in a closet with relations who threatened him and didn't feed or clothe him properly. Even if he had to stay there for whatever magical reason, you could have scared the heck out of the Muggles to make sure that didn't happen or check up on him regularly. Magical portraits in the house, anything. Dumbledore could have kept tabs.

Interesting idea for a premise. I like the idea of what would have happened if Harry apologized :D

...can't really imagine a nickname for Snape.
