Dude, the backstory of Zangya is ridiculous. Is that the only way you can turn her?

Lol at people saying Gohan is selfish and bratty. He owns his life. His mother doesn't own him. He gets to decide what he wants to do, not his mother. People who call him selfish and bratty are the selfish ones.

Chi-chi is a pretty insane control freak and one who can't ever see the big picture, yes, but she does have several good points.

Goku is a terrible father. He is barely a father. He is pretty much never there, which is not a thing to do as a father. He chose to willingly abandon his children and his wife for 7 years. No decent father does that for any reason.

Also, pinning all hopes and depending on his 11 year old son to beat cell? That's some shitty parentage right there.

And let's not get into the fact that he kind of doesn't really provide for his family. He is basically a NEET. And believe it or not, studying is important for getting a job. It's pretty important if you want a future. Being able to have an income is pretty important, regardless of how you look down on "deathmarch jobs" lul.

You can train all you want and save the world as many times as you want, but unless you can turn that into a way to support yourself and your family, you're gonna end up as a failure in life.

Honestly, the marriage of Goku and Chi-chi is a pretty abysmal failure, which isn't surprising, considering how it came about. Chi-chi ended up wanting the opposite of his husband, and Goku ended up not really being there most of the time. Neither of them were qualified to raise a child, let alone someone like Gohan.

“But what else was he able to do? Nothing! This family has spent the last ten years living off of his prize money and welfare”... seeing as they spent the last ten years living off of his prize money won by fighting in a tournament (which she entered too, don’t forget), I’d say she is in no position to say anything against Gohan wanting to become stronger. Hell, she just got through saying she spent most of her fortune on forcing Gohan to adhere to the life she chose for him, conveniently leaving out the fact that her ‘fortune’ was really just Goku’s winning.

Great friend, I have looked for stories with Gohan (one of the characters I was most associated with as a child, and I always wanted to see him excel) being the fucking master he should be, come on the boy has more power than Goku and Vegeta together being just a boy.

So I love finding an author who does those kind of stories and identifies with Gohan as much as I do.

I read your fic Dragonball Z: Alter Age first, I love it and I hope Gohan ends up with Zangya and Videl, although I also liked Myra (was that the name of Hera?).

After that I have read some of your fics, and since I am starting with this I decided to send you this review before continuing reading and seeing what decisions you have been taking, although I hope you are still deciding on Gohan's partner, that's why I am sending you this now , so as not to get discouraged and not give you my opinion.

Personally there are some DBZ girls that I like with Gohan, from Bulma (I love the Gohan / Bulma couple and hates Vegeta) to Suno (your fic with Gohan / Suno was excellent).

I do not know if you have decided that only Videl, Zangya and # 18 can be the girls that are paired with Gohan, but if so, I want Videl and Zangya yes or yes hahahaha, # 18 is hot, but Videl and Zangya are my favorites for Gohan.

Interesting story so far. I'll admit to have lost most of my interest in DBZ fanfics but hopefully this revitilizes that.

I couldn't really get invested into this chapter like I did the first. I feel like something was missing. It's by no means bad just the weaker of the story. I don't know how to explain other than this was my least favorite so far.

When Gohan was 10, 18 was 27, so.

That ship always creeps me out a bit.

Zangya is more debatable, she looks small and being an alien and stuff- of course, she's evil and has no personality.

This fandom has a bad habit of forgetting how old people are.

I blame Toriyama's art style, people always look either way younger than they should, or way older.

Cell Games Gohan was 11, it was Buu arc Gohan who was 'Teen' Gohan.

I think he should just be with videl, however videl has a lot more of personality than in the anime or manga.

I thought this was pretty good. It felt intense reading the fight between Gohan and Cell. I really felt Gohan pouring all of his pain and rage into every blow he delivered to Cell. The dialouge was also good too. The insults they trade eachother are effective. All in all I thought this was a good "what-if".
