I read a good Persona 5 story on Spacebattles called Vanishing act, highly recommend it. Anyways in that story Shiho awakens her Persona after confronting Kamoshida’s cognition of her. A mewling, terrified little thing locked in the dungeons and dressed in rags.

I should've mentioned this in my chapter 13 review...but I'll say it here instead.

While I'm not opposed to Lavenza, I'd prefer seeing Akira with Shiho. She's not a canon social link so nobody ever bothers developing their relationship outside of his friendship with Ann. Plus they've got that "are you only with me because I stopped Kamoshida" thing to bring drama if it happens...because it was Akira that stopped it.

I wanted Shiho to be a social link SO BADLY. She was the first person you helped/avenged and you don't get a link with her in the game. Even an attempt at what Kamoshida did to her in canon would be enough to get them to forego the consequences so it should've been a possibility...but instead they let Kamoshida seem to get away with it so Ann is more driven? That's been a big complaint of mine about canon since I first saw an LP.
