A few others worth note:

I like this due to the level headed Common sense displayed and that it keeps Sirius out of Azkaban.
But he'll have a fight on his hands with Dumbles to get Harry back.

Ouch. The ending of this chapter is *painful*... but yes. Sirius probably would truly consider killing himself. Since this is a snippet-series we probably won't see what happens, but it would be great to know that he doesn't and that he raises Harry.

A very good chapter. I am glad Sirius was found innocent. I really liked the reason given as to why Remus was not trusted, that was never very clear to me.

How useful or formidable Wormtail is was a very nice touch.

Thanks for using someone from Lavender's family not much is said or know about them.

I hope Sirius can get his thoughts together to find Harry he needs saving right away, a home even if Sirius is in no fit state to care for him. Anywhere is better than the Dursley's.

I think Dumbledore would want to know why Sirius betrayed the Order and what he told. It must fit with his plans for Harry to have Sirius gone. If Harry was taken to another country and was raised well and Harry, the plans of Albus would not work out I think. He needs Harry loyal and desperate to fight and die for a world he barely knows.

I wonder if Snape had to make any oaths in order to be spared Azkaban and work at Hogwart's. I was always surprised angry students or family members did not seek Snape being fired, jailed or killed.

An excellent idea. I do like the idea of Malfoy and the rest being guilty and having to answer for it. There was a real lack of justice in the magical world.

I wonder if Crouch Sr felt so dispirited in the books he decided to help his son and please his wife as everybody else was breaking the law.
