I'm still skipping about a fifth of each chapter, but I am also very much enjoying most of it again. Mainly since she left China that last time, it's started to pick back up with the interesting bits.

You've had me hooked for sooo long, but these latest chapters have started to get... tedious. Nothing interesting is happening, and it feels like you're diving a bit too much into the details. It's like you've backed yourself into a corner with the sheer amount of innocuous crap that you've let build up, and just went with it.

I mean, whatever your muse says goes, sure, but this is getting a bit hard to follow. I skip everything that Renato is doing in school. I skip everything that is Hawk and Verde, everything that Chereb's doing with his little posse. 100% of all that is completely uninteresting - regardless of the absolutely fantastic characters that I'm sure they are. Up until chapter... 10ish of this half of the story, everything kept me on the edge of my seat. Now, I'm just scouring for something interesting to add to the plot.

Everything was a buildup to Sonya establishing herself, and now everything that DOESN'T have something to do with that - or the plot of canon, feels like empty words on a page. I don't know why it's important, so I move on. Not to mention I'm pretty confident that once it IS relevant, I won't care about whatever build-up you put into it, and just enjoy what I'd be, at that point, currently reading.

Maybe I'm just an impatient buttmunch, but I HATE the fact that I'm not interested in this anymore. This is by far the best selection of world building, character development, and original plot in this half of Fanfiction.

I realize there's a lot of loose ends that need to be cleared up, but the VAST majority of them could be summed up pretty easily. You've built up a relationship between Sonya and Renato, only to force-feed us Verde. Fong (why's there a 'G' in there, btw? His name's Fon, right?) was an absolutely fantastic 'alternate'. We didn't need Verde in the weird, possible love polygon. But I also realize why you added him in. He's a good character to help balance her 'social development'. But I still don't care. The story arc is fine, but it feels too forced at this late stage in the story. Hell, the French detective would have been a better 'in-between' love interest because he actually had a bit of build up early on.

Basically, I freaking love this story. It's almost too good. Only issue I have is that it's moving too slowly. I like to stop and smell the flowers too, but... not for this long. I don't need to stare at every petal, and measure just how much pollen has been picked up by passing bees.

Okay, okay. So like? I KEEP forgetting to comment cause like? This story is just tHaT gOoD?! Like, I rlly love this story and even while reading it I’ll suddenly remember one of my past favorite pets! Like that one detail where Ganouche(or however you spell his name lmao) asked about domestic abuse or whatever and Tatiana was just like, HeLl NaW. I woulda MeSsEd HiM uP. Like, that’s seriously one of my favorite parts so far lmao.

Damn, I binged the entire story in like a week or so. You ruined this fandom for me this will forever be headcanon now.
