Beautiful, amazing, just wow
Shinigami chapter 1 . 9/1/2017
This makes more sense. Personally, I think Jane was the latest lady in Bingley's long list of conquests. Darcy said that Bingley was always falling in and out of love. I know Jane is gentle and kind, but this is ridiculous! Even the most kindest have a breaking point.
As for Jane's sisters. I think Lizzy and Mary wouldn't blame Jane for acting. They would prolly applaud her for finding her spine at long last.
WadeH chapter 1 . 7/1/2017
I liked this little bittersweet exploration. It's good to think of the abandonment from Jane's POV and this is a nice examination of it. Now maybe you could flip the coin and imagine the more vengeful star? It would be an interesting contrast.
Deanna27 chapter 1 . 6/11/2017
oh this is so well written! So poignant!
Pier chapter 1 . 6/7/2017
so sweet, so bittersweet, but at the same time Jane thinks that she is able to go over that pain and is willing to do. Yes, in canon, when Bingley came back, she probably couldn't fully trust him again even if she seemed to forget and to forgive.
headless-nic chapter 1 . 6/8/2017
This is a good and well written take on what Jane might have felt.
In the book she comes across as a bit too angelic and good and I often wondered how she could be so calm and content when she had every reason to be angry. Yet if you put it this way, it makes perfect sense.
Then again, in the end she was proven right in trusting in Bingley's goodness as insistently as she has done, while with your take his behaviour might have caused a break that cannot be healed again... - At least not as easy as was done in the original work.
So for me, I dare say the truth must be somewhere in the middle.
