This was a really beautifully written piece. I loved James in this. He was such a strong character, and I love, just, everything! I really can't describe how much I loved this. Lily was lovely, and despite the fact that I hate her for leaving James, I can also completely understand where she is coming from and I can't bring myself to really hate her. I like how you included Severus and despite him and James not even meeting yet, James still doesn't like him. Wonderfuly story!

What a great story! I really liked reading this. I love how James accidentally worked out the wardrobe because he found maths in it, and it was that which led to the exchange of letters.

I love how attached James got to it. Though he was bored at first, distracted with QL and too young and impatient with waiting, that changed to him bringing the paper to his face because of the scent and I feel like all his actions show a lot more attachment than Lilys own.

I feel sad for him at the end, where she's rejected him (I feel like this mirrors canon though - he's more interested in knowing her but she's rejected him for Severus, someone who lives close and she gets to spend her time with.

This is an amazing idea, communicating like that without even meeting. I really enjoyed reading this story :D

Aw, this is so sad for poor James! But they'll probably meet again in Hogwarts. I think it was sweet how we could see that he was still quite young, with him not understanding quite how important the statute of secrecy is - 'Nothing ever changed for him.' was quite simple yet mature for him as well. I really liked the way we could only see James waiting on a reply and imagining Lily on other adventures without hi was likely to make him feel cheated. I liked the ending as well; it had excellent finality.

Oh this was a great story and I liked you incorporated a magical wardrobe like the one in Narnia to tell this lovely story. I'm guessing to fit the title. Lily is the witch. I thought it was cute how they exchanged letters to each other but in the end she preferred to spend time with Snape because she wants to "have real conversations' instead of with a boy she can't see in the wardrobe. The ending was quite sad :'(

Oh. my. goodness. This was beautiful! The idea to communicate throught a wardrobe is amazing! I love that James and Lily actually communicated before they started Hogwarts - and the little addition of Severus was interesting, too. And little James was so cute! I really felt with him, especially in the end when she doesn't write him back... so sad. Really really nicely done! ~Lexi~

This was a very interesting fic, and I liked the concept a lot. It was very unique and nothing I've ever read before. I liked the descriptions you used throughout the story, they made everything a little bit more alive, and I could imagine everything very well.
The conversation between James and Lily felt a little bit awkward to me here and there, but overall, it was still very nice to read, as you would surely be a bit confused and sceptic if there were suddenly letters in your wardrobe.
An enjoyable and curious read - well done! :)

This was great. I loved your characterization of James, and the wardrobe thing was an amazing idea and I loved it. I'm so curious as to what exactly is Lily too (though I really like how the answer to that question could basically anything, and how easily this story could be canon) :p
I'm so sad about the end though - I could feel James' excitement at being Lily's friend and then his grief over her wanting to stop writing :(

This is like the BEST non-romantic Jily I've ever read. You capture their characters so well. And I love the whole Chronicles of Narnia theme this has... it totally fits. This is pure gold.

The ending... I feel like doing something to Lily... I HATE HER! But it's beautiful. This whole story is like a beautiful piece of gold.
