You know for this story... you should have had a trigger warning. It was good, but a warning would have been better. Warnings tend to let the reader know to pull their emotions away from what they're reading otherwise it gets people thinking about 'what could have happened to me'.. those thoughts are rather dangerous for readers and writers.

So let me get this straight. Mai's sudden onset of self-deprecating thoughts is from the ghost right? Because before this she was fine the level of Mai's thoughts is to fast and too quick to be anything else. I have a degree is psychology btw so I'm not pulling this out of nowhere. It starts out slow and builds over time and the person twist reality to fit their thought process. So is the ghost's emotions overriding her instincts? Is there a way to help her realize her instincts are not the enemy and to just let them in?

I am really in love with the story you have going here. I can't wait to see how you progress with it.
