Not sure I can decide which is better: The silly chase all over Beacon and Vale, the fact that it's so very, very easy to picture Ren's facial expressions while listening to the oblivious idiot's tale, or the fact that Jaune manages to reach new, never-before-seen levels of oblivious in this story. Ahahaha! Ren's patience has reached saintly levels!

This... This is freakin' hilarious! I don't care who the POV character is, as long as it's of the same 'Day Gone Wrong Via Mundane Mistake' format. The follow-up to this would also work, even if it is in a different format.

I spent this whole damn thing choking, I'm dead now and my ghost is still laughing.

My only complaint is that the conversation with Ruby there at the end is a bit difficult to parse.

The twist on the first-person perspective caught me off guard but you totally executed it so well. Now that you mention that it was used before, I would still applaud you for maintaining a completely engrossing and well-written perspective while playing with the ambiguity of what's going on in the background.

I mean, I could tell it must be really hard to write in first-person wherein the speaker is addressing the audience like a friend and keeping solely with just his dialogue and still using his dialogue to hint what the supposed 'conversational partner' is saying back.

Anyway, I really like this. Gave me some good laughs. Keep up the good work! :)
