We continue to see more sides to Dara Varana. I really love how honest Poe is as a person. He really wears his heart on his sleeve. He feels like a true born hero with a bit of spice (LOVE POE). When Poe calls Dara princess, it reminded me of when Han called Leia princess and it gave me the feels!

They're both confused and I love it! Great job 'picking her up,' Poe. ;P

I like how, from start to finish of this chapter, Dara Varana is more than what she seems. And, at the rate he is going, Poe so gets into sticky situations like this a lot. ;)

I REALLY like the crude, rough, and unpolished side of Coruscant, especially since the word itself means glittering and sparkling. It is the side that has not made much of an appearance in the films, but is a very prominent aspect of the planet. I like how you captured that aspect.

I really like how it is clear how much Poe respects his general and how Leia can continue being compassionate, even when having to make hard choices as a general in a constant war. It really brings the characters out further than the film and I am excited to see this character development!

Your Poe Damaron is unstoppable and impeccable, he is true to the fanon supported within the parameters you created. I like the (potentially) ooc qualities you introduced. Poe Damaron as a pansexual polyamorous boy who is just as down for herteromonogamy is refreshing. I adore your careful handling of his family background and your attention to his passion in his work. At no point did I feel as though you let his character fall to the way side just to go on some tangent because you liked how it sounded or to write filler or fluff. When Poe did something it was always in line with the core motivations set out for his characters in canon along with the added complexity of the personal relationships you developed in your fic. Your recurring focus of his respect for women in position of power as rolemodels, as well as people who desirable is borderline revolutionary relative to most of the images presented in media (as you know). I feel like this detail really brings out the themes in feminism in the new Star Wars films and it's really really cool and important. Poe is a well chosen, well written character in this work. He truly is the best pilot in the resistance. Even if he is just a guy, he is also a romantic, a friend, a lothario and so help me God, a feminist :,)
Your OC, Dara Varana. She probably had one of the richest interior lives I've seen in an original character. I feel as though she is defined by her power just as much as she is defined by her vulnerability, in this sense she really is every damn woman. She grieves, she loves, she fears and she BREATHES. She exists because of you and your keyboard, that is some wacky voodoo shit. From her first appearance she is enigmatic and endearing. The scenes of her in the thrown room and with her mother are some of my favourites. It is where she finds her depth from a readers perspective. It's the writers job to take the rounded character who exists in their head and make them live and breath with nothing but a few lines of text. You have that power. God above, Dara doesn't just speak to me she sings. Thankyou for creating her, thankyou for sharing.
Style:
Your balance of description and dialogue is without fault, the flow of the story is as good as any published novel I've read. Its no joke being your own editor, critic and inspiration but here we are. It's a feat you have accomplished while dealing with so much else.
