Well. This story is very heartfelt and masterfully tackles that empty urge Buffy canonically feels at times whenever she has to tackle and navigate the terms of her identity beyond being 'the Slayer' expanding upon it, since the whole 'forgetting-her-memories' plot seems more like a vehicle for it than anything else. And it works.

I also love that you've rebuilt Dawn's and Spike's relationship the way canon refused to; that was very touching to witness. And you have an interesting narrative style with the switch of perspectives, with how from chapter to chapter, we delve into the head of a different character which allows us in turn to take a mini jump back in time, to see how events that may have only been outlined a chapter before are retold with more detail.

I spent a very pleasant afternoon reading this, even if I'm not really a Spuffy fan; well done.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during her time with Angel. Those first few days would have been interesting! He would have pulled out all the stops to convince her they belonged together! Loved the ending!
