Too bad this is so short...I like the idea.

Take everything away from someone and they'll find something new to reach for. Often, something far more terrible, far darker, than what they dreamed of before.

I can see this being another layer of manipulation as well. After all, if Draco 'knows' her agenda then he isn't likely to look deeper. If there is one thing we know about Tom Riddle, it's that he treats anyone who might threaten his hegemony as a target. Draco becoming too popular, too successful, too influential? Well then Tom starts to turn on him, despite Draco being loyal. Then it's all too easy for Hermione to pour poison advice into his ear, all true of course, to knock off the 'Dark Lord' before Tom does the same to him.

Another great story! Pretty dark one. Felt bad for Hermione, the rest of her friends, and all the others suffering under Voldemort's regime. Glad that Luna at least managed to eventually escape, though even she was deeply traumatised. Really liked how Hermione and presumably Luna managed to secretly kill some of their tormentors. Loved how Hermione managed to manipulate the situation to gain a better future for herself and her future children, and hoping she might eventually be able to use her new position to reverse the damage the Death Eaters have caused and make everyone equal again. Found it entertaining when she kept score of her points over Draco.

haha I enjoyed this side of Hermione. :) I love it when she is all sneaky and stuff.
