This was perfect. The humor and banter is spot on, including a few wonderfully groan-worthy puns.

And I like your reasons that they have to hop. It fits with the Ninth Doctor because my one difficulty with the "hop for our lives" quote is that it seemed natural for ten, not nine. But this he would do. And the spears make it very exciting, it is clear they are truly hopping for their lives.

And then the twinkle is so sweet yet appropriately interrupted with Jack's very-Jack comment.

Awesome little missing scene! This is totally how I can picture this to have happened. And Jack's teasing at the end gave it the funny touch it needed to be perfect.

It was obvious from the way newly hatched Ten discribed it that this experience can't have been very big on dignity... and of course, the presence of Jack being Jack could only improve the hilarity factor XD
