HOLY CRAP! I'd freak out too! I HATE having any sort of creepy crawlies on me! -shudders- I don't blame him one bit for shrieking!

I can sooo relate to poor Ed here. He definitely lasted longer than if I were in his place, I would've been screaming the moment the spider touched my hand, even if it were the automail one. I've had some pretty awful, Arachnaphobia-level experiences with spiders in the past, so I don't have any tolerance for them whatsoever!

My only advice would be, this scene sounds like it needs to be expanded upon! Was Ed really hiding in the ventilation system to avoid getting a shot? Hee, hee, I want the full story! Was he sick, and Al dragged him to the doctor, or did Mustang make him go to his yearly physical with the military's doctors there in the Central Headquarters, along with other men from Mustang's unit? (I know he would just HATE that, and it would explain why he's cursing the Colonel.) Either story would be fun to read, and I want to know what happened to him after he got all the spider yuck off of him. He'll have the "heebee-jeebees" after that, for sure. Who caught him, or did Ed still manage to get away? C'mon, you can't just put a teasing plot bunny out there like that and not do anything more with it. Please?

I'm wincing in sympathy.

Ha! Shame Edwaaard. You got a spider on you. Oh god, I got goosebumps during this. I'm not scared of spiders but I can totally imagine one just crawling up my back as I read this amazing piece of work...
