wow, I loved it. This is the first time (or at least one of the very few times) where I see not only the "yeah sure now we have found each other and love will make everything nice and smooth" but also the deep turmoil that such a relationship, such as any relationship with a supposed "outcast", may cause. And the picture of the perfect hideous faked hypocritical mindset of the "average people"...ah I really enjoyed it. It is true, if you are not "average", whatever average is, you are out.
I really really like this fic (yes I know, I have said that already, but I need to stress it!)

And of course I am happy of Roxanne decision :-) But I loved to see that she had to...conquer it. She had to go through her fears and nightmares in order to realy choose.

This is one of the cutest, most well-written stories I have ever read. You knew just the balance between romance and drama to make it an utter pleasure to read. I can't wait to read the sequel, which means I'll be tired tomorrow in class, but it's totally worth it.

Fantastic! Rarely do writers explore the full implications of Roxanne's romantic involvement with Megamind. Focusing on the romance, little attention is given to the high price to be paid socially (not always, but often). I think you've pretty well nailed the whole middle class mindset. Roxanne would be forever turning her back on a normal, middle class life.

That was actually very courageous of Rosalind, admitting that she finds the idea of romance with an alien disturbing. Or maybe it's because it's because it's her sister that is becoming romantically involved with Megamind. If it were another woman, a stranger, perhaps she would view it more as a curiosity, but because it's Roxanne, it seems a little too close to home. I like it that they decorated Clarice's armored vest so prettily, to encourage her to wear it.

So that's the reason for the gloves. Well, that's certainly an important consideration! The libido must have its say, of course. ;) Patricia Kenneally-Morrison, the widow of Jim Morrison, said in her biography that, after Morrison's death, she found it difficult to date other men, because so often they fell short of her expectations. Morrison had become her standard. I suspect that Roxanne would be in a similar situation. It'd be pretty tough to find another man as exciting as Megamind!

Roxanne's vision of the wedding and her panic over the thought of life without Megamind just about had me in tears. I'm glad she chose Megamind!
