Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Don't worry I'm not the nazi "I'll KILL YOU, YOU MISSED A COMMA!" reader. I get it we all make mistakes. I'm sure someone could read this and point out about fourty mistakes in just my intro. But I'm usually your characterization and, new and improved, description. I can tell you honestly if you need to add a little more or get rid of anything that makes a reader smash his head against a wall.
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
As a writer I think my strength would be my skill to improve and keep at it until I get better. I mean, if you've seen Zombies Ate my Mother, and Not Quite Prince Charming, you'll know that the techinque has changed a little. I can still fall into old habits but you'd be surprised what spending two and a half days reading Edgar Allen Poe (Best writer ever!) can help.

As a Beta my strength would be the effort I put in to make sure everything is going smoothly. I take my time, and the time of someone else to make sure your story has good grammar, characterization, plot, and we all know the rest of the wonderful mountain of crap techniques that is writing. I do my homework and hope that you'll do the same. It's a strength to me, but a weakness to anyone who does this. I will make you feel like crap if you waste my time! Read that carefully and consider it. If you're putting real effort into your story (proper use of technique, characterization, blah blah blee blah) I'll be nice and give you some advise that could prove useful. If you just throw down whatever to get a chapter up, that's considered wasting my time. I hate it, and will drag you down with me.

My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
As a writer, my worst problem is getting that little voice in my head to shut up and stop giving me ideas on something very different from what it is I'm actually suppose to be writing. I get mind warped easily and I can't stop thinking about my obsessions. (Alistair and Johnny Depp are the only things I can really think of for this sight).

As a Beta, my weakness would have to be the time it takes me to work. This includes, but is not limited to; research, checking spelling, having someone else I'm sitting with check spelling, repeating the process with grammar, dragging friend who's trying to eat dorritos back into the room and make sure I didn't miss anything with grammar, characterization, me trying not to scream at a wall if it seems like you just want attention or are posting and original work instead of a fanfiction (I can and will be mean), lack of passion in your work (if you're going to waste someone's time best not be mine), lack of pace in your story (because if this story is going to one hundred fifty chapters long, this better be a mini series or else I'm going to get bored and float off into lala land and I have a Frequent Traveler's Reward there), writing the same thing over and over and over again (I will tell you, you need to change the plot even a little), if you did what someone else did (If you copy someone else's work I might kill you with a toothpick or a spoon), and so on and so forth. Looking out for all these things could take a couple days, or it could take me a few hours. So be ready because I'll drive you up a wall!

Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Most stories actually. I'm not really all that picky. If I have no idea what you're talking about I'll look it up. It's part of that long time it's going to take to read carefully and thoroughly.
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Twilight! I'm sorry world but I hate Twilight with a fiery passion and being stuck in a room reading up on it would just make me scratch out my eyes. I'm sure your stories are fantastic and everything, but Stephanie Meyer is the worst writer in the world and to be stuck reading that would just make me crazy!
