I believe that a writer should always strive to improve their craft, so my beta reading style is honest in its criticism. If there are errors, stylistic or grammar, I'm not afraid to say so. I expect that a writer tries their hardest to craft a worthwhile story.

Broad stroke writing - that is to say, I excel with writing that is not detail oriented. I focus on what is happening, not the nooks and crannies of a particular room that is not relevant to the story.

Character - I'm fairly good at crafting and/or analyzing characters, both their motivations and their actions. I can help with giving your character a reason to act in a certain way, or creating the circumstance that would change them so that they act how you'd like.

Fantasy and Science Fiction - Both making it believable and incorporating new elements to already existing universes.

Due to work and other real-world activities, I may not always be readily available. Please be patient when dealing with scheduling.

My grammar is not perfect. Most of what I know I learned from experience, not from my education. I may miss particular, small errors.

Because it works with my strengths, I prefer action/adventure stories, or other stories where the plot is important.

I am generally open minded and will beta-read most forms of fanfction. However, I ask that any fanfiction you want me to read be something that is allowed to be posted on this site. So no MA sex scenes and the like. Even if you don't plan on posting it here, it's just not something I have much experience with and likely would not be able to help you.
