[Crossposted from Ao3] Set after Daredevil season 3. Not quite sure timeline wise against Luke Cage/Iron Fist/Jessica Jones. Matt is dead. No, really, this time with a body. After The Defenders, after Daredevil season 3. This is not about how it happens. This is about the different characters finding out. Chapters are not in chronological order.

Set during Daredevil S3x9 Revelations. Matt is struggling to deal with the truth of his parentage, as well as how to fight Wilson Fisk. A fellow Defender and friend, Jessica Jones, finds him and tells him that she is there to help him. (One-shot) (Slight Matt/Jess)

College freshman Jessica Jones is desperately trying to escape her past. College freshman Matthew Murdock is desperately trying to make a name for himself. It may not seem that way at first but, they have a lot more in common than they think. (AKA, the story of how Jessica Jones and Matthew Murdock kicked ass and fell in love, told through their emails, text messages, and memos.)

A 15 year old Jessica Jones meets a young Matt Murdock and weird old man named Stick and ends up joining them in training, and maybe later in the Chaste.

Fresh out of rehab, Trish Walker finds a kindred spirit at an addiction support meeting. TW: References to past drug use, addiction, and canonical character death.

Once a year, on a certain day, Jessica Jones disappears. Trish has long since learnt not to look for her – she'll resurface when she's ready, probably smelling like a distillery. Matt, however, can't just stand by and wait for Jessica's dark day to end. Not when she's so alone. It's the one day she allows herself not to be strong. So Matt will be strong for her.

Trish realises that being in a relationship with Daredevil and becoming a vigilante herself is nothing like she imagined it to be. Better in some ways, but also much worse in others. When some new side effects occur while Trish's new powers develop she tries to hide it from Jessica and Matt. Sequel to: Punch or Kiss Him

It was not entirely clear to either of them how they had become drinking buddies, but there it was. Josie's was now another stop on Jessica's list of places to disappear inside a bottle. Matt Murdock wakes up in a convent, miles away from where everyone thought he had taken his last breath. To his surprise, Jessica Jones of all people has found him. With her help, he will try to investigate what happened at Midland Circle, why he is still alive, Elektra's whereabouts, and why someone is seemingly trying to send him back to the grave. Matt Murdock died in the collapse of Midland Circle. In result, the Hand was defeated and the Defenders disbanded. Jessica believes he's dead. She thinks it was her fault. Unbeknownst to the group, Daredevil is alive under the care of nuns and his own mother. New enemies and threats will arise. The Defenders will have to learn to defend each other to take out what's coming next.

At the urging of the person who cares about her most, Jessica Jones accepts that maybe brute force isn't all that's necessary when dealing with assholes.

When he "broods" (Matt thinks about his past, he does not brood) or is bullshiting himself Jessica manages to pull him out of his mind with her crass words and harsh truths. When Jessica is drowning in her demons he takes her out to patrol with him. It works. (Mild language but pretty much teen.)

It was supposed to be easy job. Stalk (well, observe technically) Jessica Jones and relay her notes to The Boss. She'd be out in six months, no sweat. Then a ninja breaks into her apartment. Now she's stuck with with a bunch of weirdos with weird abilities and even weirder enemies. All she wanted was an easier prison sentence.

From the early years, Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones became friends. They will stay together through thick and thin, from the threat of people like Wilson Fisk, and the brutal memories of people like Killgrave.

Jessica doesn't know what this feeling is, she aches for something she never possessed.

Jessica was good at figuring stuff out, a necessity considering her job. She always had a knack for it. Observing and studying people was, to put it simply, much less of a hassle than actually talking to them. So that was what she did. Always, well, most of the time. There was the lawyer/ wannabe Jackie Chan. The nutjob with a serious drug problem And Luke. (Defenders era)

Aka Claire is fed up by idiotic superheroes who tend to hurt themselves so she set up the meeting so that they could bother each other instead of her.
