Author has written 20 stories for Brokeback Mountain, Harry Potter, Troy, Saint Seiya, Alexander, Transformers/Beast Wars, Detective Conan/Case Closed, Spider-Man, Mass Effect, and Evangelion. I am a person who has suffered frequent social and academic depressions but somehow managed to survive and lived long enough to reach the age where I'm worth something to the IRS. Due to my lack of ability to organize a story plot or sophisticated sentence/paragraph structure, it is evident (to my dismay) that I will never be a (successful) professional writer. Seeking a place to distribute the crap I write for the fandoms I love, I found this you-know-what place and drowned myself in. I am obsessed with structuring arguments, partially because of my sorry majors (economics and philosophy). Therefore, I do not write stuff for the sake of writing it – I write stuff because I want to send a message to the audience. I know, due to the nature of fictions, a fiction should be emotional, but in my mind emotions alone are not enough. I attempt to have an underlying rationale under every story I write, because, I think, one of the generally agreed main strengths of fictions is its ability to draw empathy from the audience and makes the audience consider the situations from the angle of the characters. Also for this reason I never pay much attention to describing the characters’ facial features as I think excessive amount of such description is less effective in drawing the audience into the characters’ shoes, since the audience will “visualize” the scene rather than reading the story from a first-person perspective. Of course, all and all depend on the situation. Again, it is my wish to have the audience understand the story rather than a reaction like “oh, what a 'your adjective' piece of writing. End of story.” I’m still working on this goal. Maybe I have succeeded. Maybe not. I will never know without your input, since you, the reader, are the only judge who can rightly tell me. There is also a still photo of this infamous behind-the-scene documentary. You know when there are really good things that happen to you, and you are not even sure you whether you deserve that kindness of that person? Well, it's happened to me! Velasa drew an emotionally powerful painting for my Udina/Sparatus story that is not yet published here: http:///albums/a69/Velasa/Bribes/Equilibrium_color.png?t=1352103428 You can read the story here: http:///5405.html?thread=22669597#t22669597 Seriously, though, the painting is better than the story. Thank you so much, Velasa. You are the best! The kind, amazing, utterly wonderful Velasa has drawn another art for Absolutely Not Kindred Spirits, an intense piece that characterizes where the two politicians stand, and features one of the best depictions of Udina I've ever seen: http:///albums/a69/Velasa/Bribes/absolutelynotkindredspirits.jpg Thank you, Velasa. Thank you. |
