Author has written 24 stories for Harry Potter, Lost, House, M.D., Office, Doctor Who, Bones, X-Files, and Sports Night. I'm a student at Brown University with an undecided major (though I'm beginning to lean towards anthropology/archaeology). I collect obsessions like other people collect coins or stamps or shot glasses (like some of my fellow students); that is to say, I don't lose interest in one just because I've found another. I'm very bad at finishing things. So I don't do chaptered fics (except for How the Black Women Fall in Love, which I am ridiculously proud of myself for finishing), and I have near hundreds of half-begun pieces on my computer. I don't do plot, or very much dialogue; even the people who watch these shows/read these books whom I know in real life don't share the inclination to ramble on and on about character motivations, so I tend to use fanfic to explore those myself. They're mostly centered around little things, just an idea that popped into my head or something I noticed that I wanted to explore. I mostly don't do sequels, though I might do a parallel companion piece if it strikes me as interesting. I love humor, but I don't write it very well. That is, actually, also the main reason I don't do plot or dialogue - I'm not really any good at it. And if there's one type of fanfic I hate, it's bad plotlines with bad dialogue; since I know I don't do it well, I don't subject you to it. I also don't do original characters; instead, I adore canon. I am obsessed with the unstated relationship. One of my favorite pieces that I've written is Chocolate Milk, because I think it's really sweet and I'm glad I managed to capture the essence of that kind of relationship when I've never been in one myself. But that's unusual. I love the tension-filled deep-friendship almost-relationship almost more than I can say; the ultimate in this is Mulder and Scully from The X-Files. Seriously, they give me stomach-aches, I love them so much. I was too young to watch the show when it was actually on (I was 5 when it came out, and that makes me feel so very young), but I'm working on it now. Brilliant show: smart, funny, fascinating, and realistic in its unrealism. Though I'm not so crazy about the mytharc - I'm all about the Monster of the Week. :-D I'm very attracted to smart shows and books, things that spark my imagination or hit some chord in me (or do something else cliche). This means my obsessions range from magic (Harry Potter) to medicine (House) and supernatural (The X-Files) to mundane (The Office). I'm open to suggestions. If you read something of mine and think I'd like some book or TV show or movie, don't hesitate to tell me. I collect obsessions: I'd gladly add another! I hope you enjoy my stories; if you leave an intelligent/thorough review, I will reply, read/review your stories, and love you forever. If you leave a short but positive review, it will totally make my day. I like being liked. I honestly didn't mean to write my life story, but now I can't bring myself to cut any of that out. Hope I didn't waste too much of your time! Also? Seriously? Check out my Favorite Authors. They write like I try to, but much better. Incidentally, read Robin McKinley (see quote below), because she's absolutely fantastic and has some of the prettiest prose I've ever read. Except Sunshine, which was really odd for her and I don´t particularly like. And for some reason, she won't allow fanfics of her books to be posted on here, which disappoints me because, honestly, I can't get enough of her books. "She had always suffered from a vague restlessness, a longing for adventure that she told herself severely was the result of reading too many novels as a small child" - Robin McKinley, The Blue Sword "If I find in myself a desire which nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was meant for another world" - C.
