Author has written 15 stories for Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Ok. To my lovely, resplendent, and patient readers of Family Matters, I am attempting to start writing again. Life is crazy right now, but I am trying my best. Part of the problem is that I'm still not sure of where I want it to go. Just please know that I have not abanded it and that I'm trying my best. Another Note: If anyone is looking for a beta reader for a star wars or harry potter story, email me and I would most likely be happy to do it. Poetry, oneshots, or whatever. I'm seventeen and a senior in high school. Writing is my life and love and breath. I love Star Wars--it inspires me! Obi-Wan Kenobi is the coolest Jedi ever. I know that the prequels have been criticized so much, but I personally love them. I'm also a huge fan of Harry Potter (third book was the best), and I love to watch Jeopardy!. Other than that, I don't really watch a whole lot of TV or movies, but I must say that House M.D. is a brilliant show (bitter, cynical, sarcastic, and hilarious...what could be better?)! I love music, and I hate sports with every fiber of my being...run around, kick a ball, and run around some more. I just cannot bring myself to find any sort of interesting aspect in that. I would rather read or write. I want to learn Greek and maybe live in Greece someday...or anywhere but California for that matter, but for now I'm stuck, so I'll just use Star Wars to get away (far, far away for that matter). So...that's me. If you want to reach me about any of my fics or anything that I write, you can e-mail me at swiftykenobi@. Also, I just got a new account over at fictionpress dot com, and I will soon be adding my non-fanfiction prose and poetry to it. If you're interested, check it out at http://www.fictionpress.info/~LovingProse ! Thanks for reading! May the Force be with you! --Swifty "The power of accurate observation is often called cynicism by those who don't have it." -George Bernard Shaw "I have a bad feeling about this." -Obi-Wan Kenobi "The only difference between me and a madman is that I'm not mad." -Salvador Dali "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." -Napoleon "All are lunatics, but he who can analyze his deusion is called a philosopher." -Ambrose Bierce "I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters." -Frank Lloyd Wright "He is one of those people who would be enormously improved by death." -H.H. Munroe (Saki) "Maybe this world is just another planet's Hell."-Aldous Huxley "Blessed is the man, who having nothing to say, abstains from giving wordy evidence of the fact." -George Eliot "If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, then you'd best teach it to dance." -George Bernard Shaw "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." -Albert Einstein "Only a Sith deals in abosolutes." -Obi-Wan Kenobi "Hey, no loose wire jokes." -Anakin Skywalker "The dark is generous, and it is patient, and it always wins-but in the heart of its strength lies weakness: one lone candle is enough to hold it back. Love is more than a candle. Love can ignite the stars." -Matthew Stover Just a note about one of my stories, Redemption, in response to a few comments that I have gotten. I completely agree with the idea that suicide is never right and that it is never a solution to problems, but I guess that the point I was trying to make is that, when Darth Vader accepts the truths of his actions, and admits to himself that he was deceived by the Sith way and by Palpatine, it is by accepting this that Anakin Skywalker is redeemed.Yet the good in Anakin Skywalker could not handle the weight of his actions and betrayal, and so he decides to himself that maybe suicide is the answer, even if it is not necessary or given full thought. Anyway, I'm rambling, but I just wanted to address it because I appreciate the feedback that I have gotten on the story. I did not mean to make it seem as though the reason that he was redeemed is because he kills himself, I wanted it to be that his remption comes from finally knowing his actions and asking forgiveness, but in the end he just cannot handle it. Ok, I'll stop my musings. Thanks to everyone who reviewed! |
