Updates:

July 18, 2015: I am dipping my toe into more of my planned original work, but it's been taking me months to even layout an acceptable outline, including character biographies, plot, story arcs - and even now, trying to get started on the actual writing is like pulling teeth some days. I signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo this summer in an attempt to push myself into actually writing more (like I always say I will), but 18 days into the challenge I still only have 314 words written. I am so out of practice it hurts. And honestly, sometimes my lack of inspiration and creativity astounds me in the worst possible way. I never used to have this much trouble with my writing before. I mean, sure - every writer experiences a block from time to time, but this has been my longest block to date. I don't think I'm so out of practice that I've lost my inability to play with syntax or write fun, clever dialogue altogether; I honestly think half of my current issue is that I'm not connecting with my characters in a way that is very necessary for me to write. If I can't feel what my characters feel, or think what my characters might think, I'n convinced I lose all credibility as a writer. I mean, if I can't translate a character so effectively to a page that you, the reader, can identify or empathize with them, then I'm not really doing a very good job, am I? Maybe that's why fanfiction had always been so easy for me. Watching a show or reading a book could give me such insight into a character - into his or her mannerisms, quirks, and especially the character's motivation - that having to come up with all of that on my own, from scratch, is a bit daunting and really takes a toll on my confidence level as a writer. Still, I suppose, the show must go on! Wish me luck? :)

Jun. 14th, 2013: I lied. I am now on the third Fifty Shades of Grey book, and I am hating every minute of it - but I have vowed to press on regardless of the unending facepalming moments. On a happier note, I am now also working on reading the A Song of Fire and Ice series (though with work and life, this is taking a while). I'll also go ahead and confirm that my KakaSaku WIP is on permanent hiatus, as I am now no longer involved in the Naruto fandom. Also I'm not sure why I wandered back to this page without anything to upload... maybe I'll play around with some Sherlock fanfic sometime, since that is my new favourite show.

Aug. 4th, 2012: Outlining more of my original story as I continue working at my full-time job. I keep worrying that my ideas are not original enough, though... the last thing I want is to wind up compared to Stephanie Meyer or that Fifty Shades of Grey chick. Speaking of which, I attempted to brave the erotic bestseller and had to stop after the first twelve pages before my frown became a permanent fixture. Sadly, I will not be finishing. Instead, to placate my unending curiosity, I just googled the dirty parts.

I'm a 27-year old female. I enjoy Community, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, sexy time, Gordon Ramsey's televised rage, pink lilies, word jumbles, dancing badly, Timothy Olyphant's hat in Justified, and dark, twisty, unexpectedly abrupt stories that make me uncomfortable. I love to write, but inspiration strikes me very rarely - much less when I read, naturally, as is the case with most (if not all) writers.
